Phase 1 - Training (Individual Course: Fasteners)

Automotive parts such as the engine, wheels, doors, and various other parts, etc. All use many different types of fasteners. The fasteners are a generic term for all bits and pieces like bolts, nuts, screws, spacers, or springs used in practically every car component. We will learn all about this and the tools used in this trade. Learners will be able to explain the terms used to identify bolts and other threaded fastener, understand the strength ratings of threaded fasteners, Identify different type of washers and screws, different size pins and keys, proper use of none-threaded fasteners. They will be able to discuss how snap rings are used and the tools and Equipment involved in performing tasks (i.e., torque wrench).
