The course the Suspension & Steering system as well as Wheel alignment.
We look at the components of a vehicles suspension system and its basic functions. These are Maintain correct vehicle ride height, Reduce the effect of shock forces, Maintain correct wheel alignment, Support vehicle weight, Keep the tyres in contact with the road and Control the vehicle's direction of travel.
We will also cover the main function of the steering system which provides vehicle turning as per the driver will, directional stability, it converts the rotary movement of the steering wheel into an angular turn of front wheels and absorbs road shock from being transmitted to a driver's hands.
Finally, we cover wheel alignment which involves a mechanical adjustment of vehicle suspension to influence the direction and angle of the tyre’s contact with the road surface.
